Setting the Standard in Outdoor and Indoor Living Solutions

At the heart of the latest initiative, “Build with the Benchmark,” is a deep commitment to raising the standard of living spaces, both indoors and outdoors. This campaign not only highlights our focus on providing the highest-quality solutions for Australian homeowners, builders and architects but also reinforces our position as industry leaders in the composite decking sector. With a clear vision for the future, we are continuously adapting to the evolving demands of the Australian market while maintaining a focus on innovation, sustainability and design excellence.

Since our foundation in the United States in 2003, we’ve expanded globally, establishing a strong presence in Australia in 2018. Since then, we’ve been at the forefront of designing and manufacturing wood-plastic composite (WPC) products, delivering eco-friendly and low-maintenance alternatives to natural timber. Crafted from 95% recycled materials, our products combine the timeless beauty of wood with exceptional durability and ease of upkeep.

As we continue to raise the bar for what’s possible in outdoor and indoor living, we understand the true value of any space lies not only in its functionality but also in its ability to reflect the unique vision of those who create it. This is where the versatility of our products comes in. Whether designing a coastal retreat, a modern home or a commercial space, our range of materials offers the flexibility needed to bring any design to life, no matter how specific or creative the vision may be. Let’s explore how our products empower designers and homeowners to craft spaces as functional as they are beautiful.

Versatility: Design Without Limitations

When it comes to versatility, our projects speak volumes. For example, the transformation of Jeremy McGovern’s coastal family home and the renovation of a property in Atwell.

These projects showcase the infinite design possibilities that come with our products. The versatile, colour-compatible range allows designers and homeowners to create spaces reflecting their unique vision, all while staying in line with the latest trends. For Jeremy’s coastal home, the decking provided the perfect solution to complement the natural environment, offering a combination of style, durability and low maintenance. Similarly, in the Atwell renovation, our cladding and screening materials were applied not just to the exterior but also inside, enhancing ceilings, walls and feature areas. This seamless integration across both internal and external surfaces highlights how adaptable our products are, allowing for a cohesive look, enhancing the overall design. With a wide selection of colours and textures, we help create visually stunning and highly functional spaces, catering to residential and commercial needs alike.

Durability: Built to Last

When it comes to durability, few projects showcase our products’ endurance like the decking installation at the Beaches of Broome Resort. Situated in an area with extreme weather conditions — high sun exposure and frequent wet seasons — the resort required a solution that would stand up to the elements without compromising on appearance or performance.

The commercial-grade decking installed at the resort has proven to be the perfect choice. With a 360-degree protective coating, our products are resistant to moisture, UV rays, insects and bacteria, ensuring long-lasting performance even in harsh conditions. The decking continues to maintain its integrity and appearance, reinforcing our reputation as the benchmark for durability in the decking industry. This isn’t just about surviving tough weather; it’s about offering a low-maintenance, sustainable solution that will perform for years to come.

Quality: Uncompromising Excellence

Quality is at the core of everything we do. Our work on modular homes offers a prime example of how our products elevate the design and functionality of transportable homes. In collaboration with Bella Modular (formerly known as TD Granny Flats), our UH61 Castellation cladding in Aged Wood was used to transform a standard modular home into a high-quality, stylish residence.

Our products stand out not only for their durability but for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. By enhancing the aesthetic appeal of modular homes, we’ve helped redefine the standards of portable housing, proving functional spaces can also be beautiful. The project exemplifies how every detail, big or small, contributes to creating long-lasting, high-quality living spaces.

Sustainability: Building a Better Future

Sustainability is the foundation of our design philosophy. A perfect example of this is the Hemp House in Margaret River, which combines eco-conscious design with our sustainable materials. This award-winning short-term accommodation features our Coastal Decking and Castellation Cladding, both of which were selected for their durability, low maintenance and environmental benefits.

Made from 95% recycled timber and plastic, our products align seamlessly with the project’s commitment to sustainability. The Hemp House demonstrates how eco-friendly materials can be used without compromising on design or performance, proving sustainable solutions can create stylish, long-lasting spaces that are as kind to the planet as they are to their inhabitants.

The Benchmark for Excellence

From versatile designs to exceptional durability, uncompromising quality and a commitment to sustainability, we continue to set the benchmark for the composite decking and cladding industry in Australia. Our products are not just about creating outdoor living spaces; they are about ensuring those spaces stand the test of time. Tested in the toughest Australian conditions, our products continue to perform flawlessly, year after year, regardless of weather.

By choosing our products, you’re not only investing in quality materials but in a legacy of innovation and excellence. With every project we take on, we remain dedicated to building better, more sustainable and beautifully crafted spaces to elevate the standard of living for Australians everywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a NewTechWood composite deck cost more than a timber deck?

In the short term, it does. However, when you compare the maintenance, material, time and labour cost on traditional timber decks every year the costs really add up. In less than three years, you will be able to see all the time and money you would have saved by using NewTechWood composite timber.

We are the wholesale importers and thus we only supply the stores that sell NewTechWood and are unable to provide pricing because we don’t sell direct to the public. You can find the stores who do sell NewTechWood on our website here: or you can submit an enquiry through our website, and we will make sure to connect you with the nearest NewTechWood reseller to get an exact quote for you.

NewTechWood is an American family-owned company, which began in Houston, Texas. They then built their own, quality controlled, manufacturing plant in China. The American owners now manage the complete manufacturing process on site. (Manufacturing in China enables them to provide top quality products at an affordable price.)

What state are you in? Please send us your postcode and we will advise the closest reseller store to go, see display, get free samples and quote for your deck. Otherwise, you can find where the stores are listed on our Store Locator page. They all carry samples as well. Some have large displays, and some do not – you can give them a call.

We’re wholesalers and we don’t do the installation. However, we have a list of recommended installers on our website and you can find comprehensive Installation Guides on our website.

Whether or not any building product meets an Australian building standard depends on the application and the class of building on which it is being installed. For this reason, it is best to consult your architect, or Planning Officer at your local authority, for the particular standard(s) you need to meet. This will determine how it is to be constructed/used to ensure it meets the required Standard(s).

BAL Fire ratings and energy efficiency ratings are not absolute values specific to a particular product, but apply to the way in which the product is installed, or the system of building in which the product is an element.

NewTechWood Cladding does not have a BAL bushfire rating. Refer to your building engineer as you may not require a BAL rating, and may be able to be used with an engineered, fire-rated system in place. Refer to the Materials Safety Data Sheet downloadable here:

NewTechWood, like all wood plastic composite products, will expand in hotter ambient temperatures and contract in the cooler temperatures. The degree of expansion will largely depend on the type and ratio of timber & plastics used.

NewTechWood profiles will expand around 1.1mm per metre from a 15°C to high ambients.

Our hidden fix systems allow for this natural expansion & contraction to occur without affecting board creep or the design of the deck.

When installed properly, taking into account the ambient temperature at the time of installation and leaving a sufficient but not excessive gap, the spacings between the boards should always be negligible.
