Advanced Technology
Since 2004, NewTechWood has been at the forefront of the design and manufacture of wood plastic composite (WPC) products, minimising outdoor maintenance and enhancing relaxed living.
Our composite timber products are fully capped with an advanced technology, UltraShield®, a specially engineered polymer coating. Using a co-extrusion process UltraShield® is heat pressed onto the core creating an impermeable protective barrier against moisture, ultra-violet (UV), insects, and bacteria. Moreover, the extremely durable shield will give maximum protection against stains and fading.
Natural Timber Look
NewTechWood boasts the most natural-looking composite timber products on the market. Our latest range uses a treatment coating, creating a matte finish with a realistic fibrous texture. This fine-grained texture gives the boards an authentic timber look and is even to the touch – no concern for splinters with NewTechWood.
Our colours are multi-chromatic, emulating the variations of colour hues which are found in natural timber, so each NewTechWood board is unique. However, like natural timber, product colours may vary between batches. We recommend you view all your boards before beginning installation and mix them around for the best result.
Fully Capped on All Surfaces
Unique to NewTechWood is our 360 degree fully capped composite boards. We use UltraShield® on every surface which provides a protective barrier against various elements including moisture, ultra-violet (UV), bacteria, and insects. This UltraShield® barrier ensures your composite timber remains high-quality and endures for many years.
There are variations of capped composite timber on the market such as half capped where only the top of the board is coated, others may not coat the indented groove, and in some cases the coating contains a wood powder which means your boards are still susceptible to the elements. These options provide a limited time protection and will result in damage such as cupping, cracking, splitting, swelling, fungus, mould, or termites. With NewTechWood fully capping each board, you never need to worry about these issues.
Note: Swelling can occur on cut ends, so it is strongly recommended that cut ends have a sealant or end cap applied to avoid any issues.
Ultra Low-Maintenance
When you purchase NewTechWood products you will be amazed at the minimal time you’ll need to spend maintaining it. That’s because with NewTechWood there is no sanding, oiling, or painting required for the upkeep of our products.
Of course, your deck, fence, cladding, or screening may get dusty and dirty from day to day living and environmental factors. So, to keep your NewTechWood timber looking its best, simply clean it with water using a mop or soft broom to remove any unwanted build-up. To make cleaning even easier, we have developed DECKWash, an Australian made, eco-friendly, and simple-to-use cleaning product that can be used on any timber or composite product. Environmentally Friendly
NewTechWood composite timber is made from 95% recycled materials and uses no fossil-fuel based chemicals during production, nor required for ongoing maintenance. Our parent company based in the United States, began as a plastic recycling company before developing NewTechWood in 2004. This experience in recycling led to them developing the technology to turn recycled components into long-lasting composite timber used in the construction of homes and buildings. NewTechWood undergoes annual third-party audits, complying with environmental and health and safety guidelines and regulations.
