2024 has been an exhilarating year of innovation for NewTechWood Australia, as we continuously strive and evolve to meet our customer’s needs and wish lists.
Our customers told us what they wanted, and we listened!
Introducing our new entry-level composite Avenue Decking that replaces our popular Metro range, our exciting new composite outdoor furniture, and new cladding options… not to mention inspiring new colours!
Other improvements include increasing the cladding board lengths from 4.88m to 5.4m lengths to suit building industry preferences and manufacturing new trims from aluminium with a matching colour covering for added durability and strength.
The New Castellation Cladding Profile (UH58)
Of all the exciting new products introduced this year, today we want to present our beautiful new Castellation Cladding Profile, the UH58, a 3-rib board, with ribs of 50mm. This sophisticated panel board offers a unique castellation option to flatter all internal or external projects just like the pictures below…
About UH58 & UH61
The new UH58 3-rib Castellation cladding board is 196mm x 25mm and comes in 5.4m lengths. It is available in Aged Wood, Blackbutt, Teak, and a fashionable new Ebony Charred-look finish.
For comparison, the UH61 5-rib castellation board now also comes in 5.4m lengths of the same dimensions, with the only difference being the number of ribs. The colour options for the UH61 board are Ipe, Canadian Cedar, Ebony (and Aged Wood and Silver Ash while stocks last.)
Both castellation profiles utilise hidden fastenings and offer matching end and corner trims for a professional, seamless finish. (For installers, see Trim table on our website for full details.)
Shadowline Cladding: Shou Sugi Ban
Shou Sugi Ban is a Japanese method of preserving wood by charring the surface with a hot flame that dates back centuries. The resulting charred and blackened appearance is becoming increasingly popular and is one of the hottest new trends in Architecture.
So, of course, you asked – and we delivered.
In an Australian first, NewTechWood has introduced a new composite profile in our US31 Shadowline range in Shou Sugi Ban. Obviously, it is only available in one colour: Ebony.
It is suitable for bespoke homes and individuals who desire their dwelling to be as unique as they are. For designers and builders who like experimenting with new textures and colours, you will want to add this to your range.
Our NewTechWood composite Shou Sugi Ban offers the same benefits as our other composite products – a unique, natural appearance without the hassles of maintaining the real thing.
You now have the benefit of this well-known, black and charred finish without any of the maintenance required of traditional wood. Plus, of course, there are the usual NewTechWood composite benefits of longevity, durability and the security of our 25-year residential warranty.
Special Custom Colour Orders
So now, with the introduction of the UH58 3-rib castellation board, new colours and Shou Sugi Ban, your designs can make stunning architectural statements with a variety of decorative cladding options using proven composite products that can be used internally and externally, on walls or ceilings, with colour options to suit any décor.
We also offer custom colours that can be specially ordered, like this cladding project which utilised US31 Shadowline cladding in a non-stocked colour, Beech.
