WOW doesn’t begin to describe this project.  This beautiful home utilises a large portion of NewTechWood cladding including on the ceiling/eaves on the front façade because the builder/architect, award winning Binet Homes, wanted the timber-look without having to worry about future maintenance.

For more than fifty-six years, Binet Homes have been designing and building some of Sydney’s finest quality custom homes.

An interesting point to note is this particular home was the last to be built in Kingscott Place, Castle Hill – and ALL the homes on the street were designed and built entirely by Binet Homes.

Furthermore, the second last home in this street, which was previously their display home, won the NSW HIA 2021 Spec Home of the Year award, and was a HIA Australia 2021 National Spec Home Finalist.

Binet Homes wanted this very last home to mimic some aspects of that award winning design, but also wanted this house to be unique and have its own character.  After looking at options in the market and viewing samples, thanks to Andrew at Dahlsens, Binet chose the NewTechWood US31 Shadowline Cladding board, in colour Teak.

Our man, Stuart, the NSW NewTechWood Business Development Executive met with Pat, Binet’s Construction Manager on site, because it was their first time using NewTechWood.  As it turns out, it was so easy to install that their apprentice carpenters were able to install it all themselves.  This is fantastic, because we try to make it easy.

Binet Homes were also able to easily match a garage door to the NewTechWood Teak cladding.  And as for the finished home, Binet said “it adds a real point of difference and warmth to the modern design.”  We agree.  The whole home is amazing and its award-winning status comes as no surprise.
